This beautiful archipelago of around 70 islands provides some of the finest sailing grounds in Northern Europe. An ancient maritime crossroads since the time of the Vikings, last watering stop for the Hudson's Bay Company, and fleet anchorage at Scapa Flow for the Royal Navy in both World Wars.

A 95 berth marina within the harbour and just yards from the attractions of this ancient port. Accessible at all states of tide, all year facility, excellent shelter. Showers at Kirkwall Sailing Club. All other facilities around the harbour.

Depth varies. Maximum draft 2.7 metres but call for instructions for deep berths. Some shallow berths less than I metre at LAT.

Stromness Marina

A64 berth marina within the harbour and just yards from the attractions of this historic town. Accessible at all states of tide, all year facility, excellent shelter. Showers, toilets and laundry on site. All other facilities around the harbour.

Dredged throughout to 2 metres at LAT. Maximum draft 2.0 metres.

Westray Marina

Serviced visitor pontoon facility within Pierowall Harbour. Accessible at all states of tide, summer facility, excellent shelter. Showers and toilets on site.
Open April to October
